Messing about on the River

Hi all, Louis here. Happy Friday to everyone! It's summer at last and that means one thing - more time for messing about at our favourite place, the river! Not that we like to actually get our paws wet - no, no, no - that wouldn't do, but we do like to furtle along there and explore. It's the river Avon that runs through our walk, here is the start of our walk as we head down to the river, the human has just managed to scramble through rather than over a 5 bar gate, always good for a laugh!
Then it's a mad run through the buttercups to get to the river. Please excuse Dex in the background who has to stop and leave pee mail in every field!
Then of course we have to have a few stops for a good old roll in the grass! Us that is, not the human hee hee hee!!!

At last we reach the most exciting place, the riverbank, lots and lots of furtling to do here, and we won't be rushed. There are always new smells to check out :-)
So, that's what we'll be up to this weekend, hope you all have a great time whatever you so - let us know if you're doing anything nice, we love to hear what you're all up to. Love Dex & Lou x

PS. We'd like to apologise to those whose blogs we can't comment on - there is an error 503 message coming up on a lot of blogs - what is the matter with it lately...grrrrrrr.

Wow, that looks like a beautiful place to run, roll and furtle. I would call it schnoofle friendly for sure! Any ducks in that river??

Wow, look at all that open space and sunshine! I am walking in a charity dog walk on Sunday. Wish me luck! It's raining here, but hopefully Sunday will be nice.

Enjoy the river smells!

Fun Furtle Friday post - we like that word "furtle":) What a pretty field to race through!!! We so wish we could run free in a field to the river - but the Momster won't trust us.

Have a very fun weekend.

Dexter, Lou, What fun! I love a run in the grass... Are those yellow things edible? Chewable, even? So nice that they have grass by the river sides. Means you have the fun of being at the river and get to keep the fur dry

My mom person is feeling poorly, so I'm afraid if she doesn't get better my weekend will be spent no place more exciting than napping with her on the couch. I can always hope for furtling opportunities, though.

Hey Dexter & Louis!
Wow, what a pawesome river! Wadda ya mean you don't get your feet in?!!? That's the best part to me. Going swimmie is the most incredible fun...maybe you should give it a shot. Thanks for sharing the pretty pix of your great waterway.

That paddock looks like heaven!

We had to have a 'dry' walk today. It was fun, but we couldn't get in the river and get muddy.

Us again....we forgot to answer your question about the green ball.....Shelly got it, of course....:)

Us boys are seniors and don't play a lot.....and that seems to be some of the problem between Shelly and us fellas....she wants to play with us and we're "grouchy old men" and don't wanna play......with her or anyone else......:)
