Royal Weddings and all that...

Hi all, well the day is finally here and it's the Royal Wedding doesn't mean a thing to us except we're getting an extra long walk out of it! Our lady human is all excited and off to a party with a lot of other excited ladies to eat cream teas, drink bubbly whatever that is, and watch the wedding on the TV.

Our man human has no interest whatsoever which is fantastic news for us. He wants to get as far away as possible from all the fuss so we're off for a boys only walk along the river!
Our favourite spot along the river - lots to sniff out!
Weddings aren't really our thing although our human tells us we have a connection to a famous doggy wedding! Our favourite film 101 Dalmatians was filmed in England and our human's old dog Monty was a film extra at the wedding as a doggy guest in the film! How about that, he is only in it for the big wedding scene but our human was so proud of him. He had to sit and stay with about 50 other dogs for 30 minutes with camera men walking amongst them...not sure we could last that long.
The Happy Couple in the film.
Monty in his later years
We never got to know Monty but we're told he was a character, full of mischief and would have a go at anything. His one weakness was food which we can well understand! He was in a dog display at one time and in a line of dogs, when he suddenly broke away and ran off to the front of the crowd to do a perfect sit in front of a man eating a beefburger! Monty we like your style and would have been great buddies. Anyway, we hope you all enjoy your day whether you're watching the Royal Wedding or off enjoying the peace and quiet like us. Any one off to a street party? Bye for now, D & L xxx

Glad you got a long walk all because of the Royal Wedding! I wonder if you two would like to marry into royalty? Wouldn't that be wonderful?
I was fast asleep at 4:30 am so I watched a few clips while I was on the treadmill this afternoon!

Leloo and her human mommy were sound asleep during the wedding, but we here it was very beautiful. We're glad though you two had a good day anyways!

Hey D & L,

I would give anything to have a male-only walk! But sadly, I only have one human and she is a she. Sounds like you had a great time on your male-only walk. They should have weddings more often! ;->

Sounds like your mom had a great time too. My human watched the wedding and has a sister and friend who were in London to celebrate it, so lots of fun all around!

Monty is beautiful! Love his coloring! And how cool is that to be an extra in a doggy movie?! What a great claim to fame! And something to always remember him by. :->

Jon Terry said... dad is just like my grandpa, he has no interest in all this in fact he was complaining about not being able to catch his regular show because of this!

Im envious of you as you get to have a walk along the river ^^

Ahh.. Monty sure is a handsome actor and yes! we like his style too. What a great way to remember him :)

Love ya,
Jon Terry

I would have had to get up in the middle of the night to watch the wedding, so I missed it - but they've been playing highlights around the clock! It looked like a great celebration! I love that picture of you pups by the water. It looks so tranquil there!

My mom enjoyed the royal wedding as I napped by her. It was on very early in the morning here in the US.

Monty looks like he was a pawsome doggie!

My crazy mom prepared her dinner (the Royal Wedding time in our place is 6pm in the evening, our time is 8 hours ahead) hours early just in case she wouldn't miss the Wedding. Well, she didn't miss it of course but I was so bored and she even forced me to watch it together with her. Sometimes, I just don't understand humans!!!

What a starnge thing! I was watching 101 dalmations today with my mini schnauzer, 15 month old Hetty, and I thought I recognised the church, so I did a search and found your picture, and your schnauzers! Do you know where the interior of the church was shot?
