Last Years Snow, Winter Days and Stuff...

Hi Peeps, what a difference a couple of weeks makes! From glorious sunshine we are now feeling the chill as Winter is upon us. We know there has been a lot of early snow across the pond, and some of our friends have blogged about it. We've been warned of snow this year so for once we will be prepared!

What we need, and don't laugh, are some snow boots. Thing is last year we had days with NO WALKS because as soon as we got outside this happened:

Last Years Snow Feet...
The snow collected like great big snowballs on our paws and leg furnishings and were really heavy to lift, turning to ice and really painful to try and get off. The Peeps don't really like the idea of Booty Boys but are investigating possibilities. If anyone has experience we'd be grateful for recommendations.

Now folks don't forget it's only a week or so now to get your details in for the fabulous Blogville Card Exchange! If you have particular buddies you'd like to send a card to this Christmas, get your name on the list and you'll be sent addresses to get sending! We are collecting non US details and only have a few so far :-( Thank you to those who have sent in already!

Click on the photo for full details
Also can everyone wish Blogvillians Magic & Co good luck at The Northern Schnauzer Club of GB show this weekend!

Finally we are glad to report that the second night of Fireworks saw Louis a lot calmer. The Body wrap definitely helped, he still wasn't a happy pup but didn't spend the night shaking so we'll be continuing with that this Christmas/New Year when the fireworks are about.
Enjoy the rest of the week all, we'll be round to visit you all today and read what you've been up to, Love Dex and Lou xxx

Snow ball feet are so familiar!! Poor Louis shaking at the fireworks, Coco shakes a lot but we thought it was because she was only small, although we have got them new coats with a fleece lining for the colder weather :)

Bee happy x
Have a delicious day!

Hi Dex and Lou, well that's something we probably will never experience. We had snow here once about 30 years ago so it might happen, but it would be very rare. Even though your feet must be freezing, they do look kinda funny too. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

Hi My Dex and Lou, we don't get snow here so I can't help with any ideas for your snow ball feet! They must be cold and heavy!!

Warming up here.....

Miss you my handsome schnauzer,

Oh that photo brings back memories - we all got snowball legs last year! We have to stand in the bath and have very lukewarm water poured on our legs to try and melt the snow and ice out of our furnishings! Love from Magic x

Hi ya Dex and Lou! :)

Those snow paws you were modeling did not look comfortable at all! Made Mom think of how she felt wearing stilettos BOL! Wasn't funny she says. Hope you find some good snow booties so you can enjoy the white stuff this year :D

Waggin at ya,
Roo

We've used lots of booties over the years! We like Muttluks. But don't get the kind with stretchy stuff at the top. Those are too hard to get over your feet. Get the kind that are all canvas with velcro closures. They sure will help prevent those snowball on your feet! BOL!

we know that there are boots out there that seem to help a lot, but the biggest issue is getting the pups to like them.

we signed up for the card exchange but now have to hope mom's injury will heal quickly enough for her to help us.

hey Dexter and Louis,

Yay to Louis for surviving the fireworks. Good job! And hope you do just as well, if not better, during Christmas/New Years fireworks. :->

Ouch to your snow paws! As much as I love snow, I respect that smaller pups are not as enthused by the wonderful fluffy white stuff. I am sorry for the pain that snow must have caused your paws. It does not look fun. Good luck in your quest for boots!

I have a Morkie Emma, who experiennces snowball feet - I just run her a shallow warm bath and drop her in - works like a charm :) I towel dry her and pass the hairdryer on her - thankfully, she doesn't mind. Hope this helps.
