Funnies and Rainbows

Hi all, another weekend is here, yay that means Dog training for Louis which means I get the Popster all to myself tomorrow for a long, long walk - yippee!!

We have had rain all week which we're sure the gardeners were happy about but not so us. However last night it was just a light drizzle and then suddenly the sun shone through and this is what we saw...
It doesn't look half as pretty or bright in the photo, it was a funny thing because that day we read the sad news about Rudi from Golden Pines blog, Kim had written such a lovely piece about Rudi. The Mom said this rainbow was for Rudi and all other friends who have gone to the Bridge and are having fun there right now. We heard there was a pot of gold at the end of it,which we thought would buy us loads of treats but we didn't get there before it disappeared.

Anyway to finish on a lighter note we came across this funny which some of you may have seen but it's worth having a giggle at again :-)

How many dogs does it take to change a light bulb?
1. Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned out bulb?

2. Border Collie: Just one. And then I'll replace any wiring that's not up to code.

3. Dachshund: You know I can't reach that stupid lamp!

4. Rottweiler: Make me.

5. Boxer: Who cares? I can still play with my squeaky toys in the dark.

6. Labrador: Oh, me, me!!!!! Pleeeeeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can I? Huh? Huh? Huh? Can I? Pleeeeeeeeeze, please, please, please!

7. German Shepherd: I'll change it as soon as I've led these people from the dark, check to make sure I haven't missed any, and make just one more perimeter patrol to see that no one has tried to take advantage of the situation.

8. Jack Russell Terrier: I'll just pop it in while I'm bouncing off the walls and furniture.

9. Old English Sheep Dog: Light bulb? I'm sorry, but I don't see a light bulb!

10. Cocker Spaniel: Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the dark.

11. Chihuahua: Yo quiero Taco Bulb. Or "We don't need no stinking light bulb."

12. Greyhound: It isn't moving. Who cares?

13. Australian Shepherd: First, I'll put all the light bulbs in a little circle...

14. Poodle: I'll just blow in the Border Collie's ear and he'll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.

Hee hee, how funny is that?!  We noticed  they didn't include Miniature Schnauzers and were trying to come up with a good one for us, can you think of one if you're not on the list?

Anyway we'll finish now and let you get thinking, don't  forget the Back to School events going on all over Blog Land at the beginning of September, there's a button on the top left of the blog which will take you to Sarge Sir's for more info.
We've already sent in baby photo's and some bugs, we've got more to send off and some classes to register for, it's gonna be great fun!! Louis has his date for the Pawm, little Tessa, they even have their photo on the blog if you've noticed...ah young love :-)

Me, I'm going with my dancing shoes on to see if I can sweep some young lady off her paws ;-)
Just thought I'd add my mugshot in case of any interest from the laydeeeeees ;-)

Have a great weekend Guys, Dexter and Louis xxx

When our boy Hamlet went to the Rainbow Bridge in June, we had a rainbow over our house that evening...I hoped for one for Rudi too and never saw one. You've no idea how good it feels to know that there was one after all!

THANKS for the rainbow and the grin, you all are the best!! :-))

Beautiful rainbow.

Your list of dog light-bulb changers had one extra....we didn't see the Chihuahua...ours didn't have Schnauzers, or scotties either. But we had to agree with the cats...humans change bulbs and when will there be light...

Enjoy your long walk, you handsome dude.

The schnauzer : Only if I can chew the old bulbs.
Coco sends the (good-looking) guy in the mugshot a wink and some eyelash fluttering while wuggling her tail.
Auntie Tooki: Oh Coco - you don't know the meaning of playing hard to get.

Mum says there is treasure at the bottom of a rainbow. This clearly means a great haul of doggie treats and I don't know why we haven't visited even once. I hope you have greater success getting there Dex and Lou.
Very funny lightbulb jokes.
Why should I change a lightbulb? My humans have served me well so far, why stop them now?

LOL I loved that funny!
